Cancer.net  Cancer.net provides timely, oncologist-approved information to help patients and families make informed health care decisions. Cancer.Net was launched in May 2002 as People Living With Cancer (PLWC). In April 2008, the website was relaunched as Cancer.Net (www.cancer.net).

CancerHawk Foundation is a national non-profit dedicated to empowering and informing people touched by cancer. From financial resources and travel assistance to incredible survivorship and support networks to cutting-edge research that might benefit a particular person’s cancer, CancerHawk connects cancer patients and their caregivers with the services, products and no-nonsense expertise they need to make their journeys easier.

Department of Defense  The Department of Defense has a vision to find and fund the best research to eradicate diseases and support the war fighter for the benefit of the American Public. Their mission is to provide hope by promoting innovation research, recognizing untapped opportunities, creating partnerships, and guarding the public trust.

International Gynecologic Cancer Society  IGCS is a not for profit, non-political, independent organization contributing to the prevention, treatment and study of gynecologic cancer and the quality of life of women suffering from gynecologic cancer throughout the world. The IGCS promotes and facilitates the enrichment and dissemination of knowledge and skills of its members in the areas of prevention, treatment and study of gynecologic cancer.

Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research  The mission of the Marsha Rivkin Center is to save lives and reduce suffering through improved treatment, detection and prevention of ovarian cancer. They aim to accomplish this through funding promising scientists with their Scientific Scholar Award, providing ovarian cancer screening and organizing educational symposium.

MEDLINEplus  MedlinePlus is the National Institutes of Health’s Web site for patients and their families and friends. Produced by the National Library of Medicine, it brings you information about diseases, conditions, and wellness issues in language you can understand, for free.

National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine  NCCAM is the Federal Government’s lead agency for scientific research on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). The mission of NCCAM is to define, through rigorous scientific investigation, the usefulness and safety of complementary and alternative medicine interventions and their roles in improving health and health care.

National Women’s Health Resource Center  Also known as HealthyWomen (HW), this organization provides independent health information for women. Through their wide array of online and print publications, HW provides health information that is original, objective, reviewed by medical experts and reflective of the advances in evidence-based health research.

Office on Women’s Health within the Department of Health and Human Services  The OWH (within the US Department of Health and Human Services) provides national leadership in advancing women’s health through public policy, research, service delivery, and education.

PatientResource  The goal of Patient Resource is to empower people who are suffering with life-altering diseases by giving them the most comprehensive and up-to-date guides to treatment and facilities for their disease free of charge.

Vital Options  Vital Options International is a not-for-profit cancer communications organization with a mission to facilitate a global cancer dialogue. The organization’s signature program, The Group Room, features video interviews with the world’s leading oncologists, researchers, oncology nurses and other professionals.
